This morning I gave this Notice of Motion in the NSW State Parliament:



Mister SPEAKER:

I give notice that on the next sitting day I will move that this House:




Notes that my office has experienced a recent spike in social housing maintenance complaints from tenants who have been waiting months, and in some cases years, for maintenance work to be done on their homes;


Notes that these complaints include mould, bird lice, sewer overflows, termite infestations and a lack of bathroom modifications for people with disabilities;


Notes that the Berejiklian Governments rampant outsourcing and privatisation agenda have contributed to the problem; and


Calls on the Government to stop treating these people as second class citizens and just fix their problems.
