Ms JODIE HARRISON (Charlestown—Minister for Women, Minister for Seniors, and Minister for the Prevention of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault)— St Pius X student and Newcastle local Quinn Armstrong has always had a passion for all things fast cars.
Having raced karts and F4 in his younger teen years, Quinn's passion for motorsports has only grown—and along with that, his talent. Quinn landed a spot with USF Juniors in preparation for a spot in the Indycar championships.
He started his motorsports journey in May 2019 after receiving his first kart when he turned twelve, and he competed in the 2020 and 2021 Australian National Karting Championship. In 2022, he finished twelfth in a partial season of the USF Juniors Presented by Cooper Tires, scoring seven top-ten finishes and a best qualifying position of sixth.
In his first full-time USF Juniors campaign, Quinn finished an extraordinary second in the championship—and doesn't he have the silverware to show it! Splitting his time between Australia, where he studies, and the United States, where he races, Quinn keeps his skills sharp in vehicles and racing sims. His racing goal is to become a successful Indycar series driver, and I'd say he's well on his way!
