Ms JODIE HARRISON (Charlestown—Minister for Women, Minister for Seniors, and Minister for the Prevention of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault)—I'd like to recognise the Lake Macquarie Emergency and Essential Services Expo, hosted by Lake Macquarie Police District, an event that highlights the incredible work our local emergency services do to keep us safe. This weekend, teams from NSW Police, Fire and Rescue NSW, Marine Rescue, the SES, the Rural Fire Service, and NSW Ambulance will come together to showcase their vehicles, equipment, and life-saving skills. It's a chance for us to appreciate the dedication and expertise these organisations bring to protecting our community. Beyond the displays, this expo is a reminder of the importance of being prepared, especially as we approach fire season. Learning how to assemble a home emergency kit and what steps to take during an evacuation could make all the difference in an emergency. This event not only celebrates the amazing work of our emergency services but also helps bring our community together, promoting safety and readiness for whatever comes our way. I can't wait to drop in this weekend and see all the amazing work being done to keep us safe!
A Community Recognition Notice is an opportunity for an MP to submit a short statement praising the work of an individual or group in the local community. If you have any ideas about people I can recognise with a Community Recognition Notice, please email and let me know!
