Hunter Manufacturing Awards

On Friday the 9th of October 2018, the Hunter Manufacturing Awards were held at NEX Newcastle.

The Awards night saw some great competition amongst finalists, and the Charlestown electorate cleaned up, as expected.

Congratulations to the winner of the HMA Board Award R & R Murphy at Gateshead, who have reinvigorated business with the design of the Solar Powered Eco Coffee Cart.

R & R Murphy were also the recipients of the Export of Manufactured Goods Award for taking Australian manufactured products successfully into the strong long cost producer market of China.

Warners Bays very own Catavolt took out the Excellence in Technology Award for their autonomous trolley system that has utilised space between cross beams in bridge construction, and reduces labour by up to 75% and can take a project from 6 months to 6 weeks duration.

Congratulations to these forward thinking businesses for their stimulating designs, and solidifying our regions place as a powerhouse in Australian Manufacturing.
