Ms JODIE HARRISON (Charlestown)—Congratulations to Charlestown South Public School's Charlotte James, who has been having an amazing year on the athletic circuit. It has been a very successful competition season for Charlotte, who won two gold medals at the recent NSW PSSA State Athletics Championships at Sydney Olympic Park on 19-20 October, which included students across all education systems.

Charlotte's stellar form saw her become the 2022 Junior Girls 800m winner in a time of 2:34.46 and 1500m NSW State Champion with a finishing time of 5:07.8.

She will travel to Brisbane to compete as part of the NSW team in the Australian School Sport Track and Field Championships on 18-20 November, where she will represent her State in the 800m and 1500m events, and as part of the NSW medley relay team.

Charlotte also represented NSW in the Australian Primary School Sport Association (PSSA) Cross Country Championships this year. Charlotte is excited to once again be competing at a national level for NSW. She is always a proud representative of Charlestown South Public School.
