Ms JODIE HARRISON (Charlestown—Minister for Women, Minister for Seniors, and Minister for the Prevention of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault) (18:08): I offer my heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Bryson Dimovski, who was tragically killed in Warners Bay last Friday 28 June. Bryson was 14 years old.
He was a year 8 student at Warners Bay High School. His family and friends say he was generous and caring. His was an interested and curious mind. He had an exceptional knowledge of meteorology. He rebuilt computers salvaged from hard rubbish pick-ups.
He set up a workshop in the family garage and was working towards becoming an architect or engineer. The loss of a child is every parent's worst fear, and I cannot imagine what Bryson's parents, Andrew and Melissa, are going through right now.
I know that Bryson's death has sent shockwaves through the local community. On behalf of the Charlestown electorate and, I hope, this Parliament, I tell Andrew, Melissa and all those who knew Bryson that we grieve with them.
