Most of us take the ability to walk through a door for granted. But for people in a wheelchair, this can be a real challenge, and sometimes impossible.
This is why I was pleased to support Stroke and Disability Information Hunter Incs Community Building Partnership grant application for a disability-friendly entrance, and was excited to join with SADI for its opening!
SADI provide a direct service to people in Newcastle andLake Macquarie and provide a telephone/mail and email service to people in other areas.
SADI also old free seminars and workshops on stroke, disabilities and health related issues for the community and health professionals, and link people with community support.
