I give notice that on the next available sitting day I will move that this House notes:
Three families in the Charlestown Electorate have had their appeals to the Minister for Transport for subsidised School Opal Cards for their children rejected.
These young children are expected to walk long distances along dangerous and unsafe roads to get to school.
I challenge the Minister to come to Charlestown and show me where and how it is safe for these children to walk to and from school.
I call on the Premier to instruct her Transport Minister to undertake a review of this school travel scheme and ensure that local conditions are taken into account when issuing these passes.
