A year ago today new timetables were forced on the public bus travellers in the Newcastle / Charlestown areas, due to the privatisation of Newcastle public transport by the Liberal / Nationals. In that year 200,000 less trips have been taken on the substandard Newcastle bus network. It clearly still doesnt work.

If elected in March, a NSW Labor Government will completely, thoroughly and transparently review the system so that public transport commuters will have a system which works.
