I give notice that on the next sitting day I will move that this House notes:


That in January 2018, following the privatisation of Newcastle Buses, network changes resulted in reduced bus services in Charlestown;
That my office has been bombarded with commuters complaining that from June 2019 the private operator is, without consultation, rolling out On-Demand services which cease at 4pm weekdays at the expense of key fixed route services.
These changes will significantly impact commuters and residents of Redhead, Dudley and Whitebridge by locking them in their suburbs;
Condemns the private operator and Minister for slashing the bus services of the people of Charlestown for the sake of company profit.
