This morning I participated in the State meeting of the New South Wales Family Day Care Association in Sydney. The meeting gave me the opportunity to meet with representatives of the sector from across the State and to hear from them firsthand about issues relating to their work.
I was able to update those present on the work that I am doing as Shadow Minister for Early Childhood Learning, and to assure them that - despite the bad publicity that the sector has received because of a small number of rogue providers who have been closed down - the work of Family Day Careis of great value to the whole of our society.
You can find out more about the Family Dauy Care Association here.
