Last week at Parliament, as the Shadow Minister for Early Childhood Learning,I had the privilege to meet with leaders and representatives of theIsolated Children's Parents' Association (Claire Butler -President,Deborah Castle,Skye Bragg, Gabie Le Lievre and Annabel Strachan).
I am inspired by the work of the association, which supports parents who are educating their children in remote locations.
What is already a challenging task has been made harder by the scarcity of resources due to the drought. Parents educating early learners in isolated locations are feeling deserted.I have assured them that I will do all that I can to bring their needs to the attention of the Parliament, and to support them in any way that I can.
You can find out more about the ICPA here.
