115,000 Australian families need support for a young child with additional needs.
37,841 children aged 0-6 years have an approved National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) plan in place this year.
46% of all NDIS participants are aged under 18.
This afternoon I met withDarleen Taylor General Manager and Linda Rolland Program Manager at First Chance in Mayfield, as well as staff Carol Grieve and Kathy Murray to discussissues relating to the National Disability Insurance Scheme for families with early childhood age children with disabilities.
I have agreed to work with Federal and State Labor colleagues to see how some of the the issues that were raised can be addressed.
I am grateful to the skilled staff at First Chance for spending time with me to help me to understand the matters that were raised in our discussion.
