On Sunday night news came to light that the Liberal Government is planning to remove warning signs from speed cameras in New South Wales.

This is nothing more than a money grab! Speed cameras at speeding hot spots remind us all to stick to the speed limit and get home safely. Speed cameras should not be used simply to increase government revenue.



My colleagueShadow Minister for Roads, John Graham MLC said,



This is another sneaky cash grab from the Liberals. If they can wring an extra dollar out of you they will.



Speed cameras are meant to be a safety mechanism that prompt drivers to stop speeding. This is the opposite of what the Liberal Government promised when they came to power.



The Liberals are so desperate for more revenue because the States transport budget is in such bad shape. NSW drivers are now the Liberals only plan to fix their failed Budget.
