The Hunter New England Central Coast Primary Health Network (HNECC PHN) has announced a grant round targeting suicide prevention capacity building projects and activities through their Health Grants Program.
Examples of capacity building could be awareness campaigns, targeted training, resource development, mentoring programs, communities of practice, networking/forums around suicide prevention, low intensity community-based resilience education/activities or service mapping.
By funding community grants we can address the needs of individual communities and better support them in suicide prevention. These grants are targeted towards Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People and Older Persons who experience higher rates of suicide.
I encourage groups in our local community who can be assisted by these grants to make an application. Further information is available here.Applications close on Friday 15th November 2019 at 5 pm.
Please let me know if you are successful!
