I was honoured to be able to recognise the enormous contribution of Robert 'Noel' Mahoney as a JP in our local community at a special reception at Parliament today. Noel was among 250 Justices of the Peace who were invited to the event to recognise their combined service of 6,500 years across the State. Over 130 JPs who have each served for 50 years were able to be present.
Noel became a JP in 1969. His long service was recognised by the Attorney General of New South Wales, The Hon. Mark Speakman.
I was delighted to be able to pass on the best wishes and congratulations of our local community to Noel.
