I move that this House:
Notes that the Government has cut more than $130 million from TAFE NSW through staffing redundancies and restructuring since 2014.
Notes that staff are under resourced and dropout rates are increasing.
Notes that these cuts are being felt particularly severely in the Hunter, where staff report battling for basic necessities such astoilet paper as well as necessary equipment and repairs includingrectifiying asbestos infested classrooms and out of service lifts.
Condemns the Government for the failure of its Smart and Skilled reforms.
Condemns the Government for the further $8.8 million in cuts budgeted for the2018-2019 financial year.
